This is a very rare and very early example of a POST STEEL RIM lens and a PRE-PRE ASPH design lens.
A transition between the earliest Steel rim with the infinity lock and the later PRE ASPH 11870 lens that takes a 12504 shade.
A fine example.
Very few of these were made as most 35mm 1.4 are either early STEEL RIM lenses or later 11870 PRE ASPH lenses.
Even more so, the short production run that these had, almost all had a chrome infinity focusing lock. THIS ONE HAS THE RARE BLACK PAINT button
