THE BEST of the BEST Leica cameras EVER made…Leica M3 854000-858000 1957
Posted by Alex Yuzbasiyan on
Many know that the M3 is the finest Rangefinder camera of all time…TRUE. What they don't know is that there is a small batch of approximately 4,000 cameras made in 1957 that have the characteristics which make it the BEST of all the M3 cameras ever made. Serial No. M3 series 854000-858000 circa 1957 characteristics: Double stroke film advance lever: specific for the early M3, shorter arm, quiet return. Later cameras have the single stroke long arm also used on the M2 with a ratchet "click, click, click..." sound return. Triangular "RABBIT EAR" lugs: Unique to the early M3 , mounted...
Royalty is cheaper than you think…Leica M6 Danish Royal Wedding
Posted by Alex Yuzbasiyan on
This Royal wedding set comes with Leica M6 classic chrome camera valued at $1,250 to $1,500 (regular version none limited), and a Leica 35mm F2 Summicron-M 4th version King of Bokeh, silver brass bodies, German made, valued at $2,750 to $3,250 (regular version none limited). Only 200 of these sets were made. If you were to buy them separately you would be paying more for a regular set. Why not buy this set for $4,500? A great value on two great products and potential for future investment. Some Leica prices I just don't understand!
Leica M-P 240 Safari green edition set…welcome to the jungle!
Posted by Alex Yuzbasiyan on
This camera is not everyone’s cup of tea, but “green” tea is one of the most consumed in the world! The wild wonderful world of Leica special editions…it’s a jungle out there! The shade of green with the contrast silver chrome preview lever, shutter speed dial, and shutter release button, along with the classic M-P classic style script on the top plate make this a camera I couldn’t help falling in love with. Matched with my beige Billingham Leica bag with the green interior I found the perfect walk around camera set. You have to match this camera with chrome...
Rolleiflex Platin Platinum camera…why have gold when you have PLATINUM
Posted by Alex Yuzbasiyan on
The benchmark and ultimate special edition Rolleiflex camera. Lizard skin and platinum finish on this historic TLR camera. All the vintage and classic characteristics, no light meter, retro waist level design with a phenomenal HFT newly coded Zeiss Planar 80mm F2.8 lens. One of my personal favourite medium format cameras. One of the only cameras that you do not have to be looking in the direction of the subject when taking a picture. Although this flashy camera might catch the eye of some subjects. There aren't too many Rolleiflex special editions and this one is particularly pretty and understated. There is...

Fly me to the moon…Hasselblad moon camera
Posted by Alex Yuzbasiyan on
I have always had a fascination with the moon. Its 28 day cycle, its relation to the ocean and its mysteriousness. NASA had many Apollo missions and some were lucky enough to be accompanied by the Hasselblad lunar cameras and celebrating Hasselblad's 20 years in space they made the affordable and beautiful 500 ELM moon camera. A replica of the original lunar mission cameras of the 1960s and 1970s. The vintage Zeiss C T* lenses are unequal. Even an inexperienced eye will see the quality that this lens has. Not only as a display piece, but this camera performs marvellously. I...
