I'm a 50mm shooter and I always carry my 28mm lens with my 50mm, but if you need one lens that's wider than 50mm, not too wide, the Leica Summilux-M 35mm is the way to go. I have been waiting for this lens for more than a decade. I have always shot with the Leica Noctilux 50mm and the 90mm Summicron APO ASPH. The Leica 35mm Summilux that I have was always too close to the 50mm, so I either took one or the other. The 28mm was the perfect focal length but there just wasn't any faster options then the F2 Summicron version. For darker interiors the F2 didn't cut it. Finally the 28mm F1.4 Summilux-M arrived. Originally redesigned from the regular Elmarit. This beautiful lens has been perfected with an all new shorter and sweeter mount. No larger then some 50mm. This Mandler 5 element design is all you would need and the true essence of keeping your Leica system small and compact. This Royal wedding set comes with Leica M6 classic chrome camera valued at $1,250 to $1,500 (regular version none limited), and a Leica 35mm F2 Summicron-M 4th version King of Bokeh, silver brass bodies, German made, valued at $2,750 to $3,250 (regular version none limited). Only 200 of these sets were made. If you were to buy them separately you would be paying more for a regular set. Why not buy this set for $4,500? A great value on two great products and potential for future investment. Some Leica prices I just don't understand!
